Blocked

“Blocked” explores the sense of being trapped within oneself, unable to break free due to a lack of courage to act on one’s feelings and desires. As in an eternal dance between chasing your truth and running away from it. This painting explores how the heavy burden of unexpressed and abandoned emotions makes one enter a state of emotional paralysis. The numbness becomes a golden cage, safe from emotions, but unable to live in. Yet, there is a subtle hint of a mirrored hand within the composition, symbolizing the hidden courage that lies within the individual, waiting to be awakened.
